How To Help
The Blue Door Soup Kitchen is a registered charity and depends on donations to cover operating expenses. The Blue Door Soup Kitchen receives no government grants. It is run by a board of directors.
Donations of money are used for supplementary food purchases, to pay for salaries of our 3 full time employees, maintenance and repairs, rent, utilities, office supplies, vehicle expenses, insurance, legal and accounting fees, etc.

The volunteer program at the Blue Door is a great place to discover how to help those in need in your own community.
There are currently 50 volunteers who prepare food, serve it, and clean the facility on a rotating basis, as well as operate the bi-monthly Bingo at the Boardwalk Gaming Centre.
