We provide a hot and nourishing meal each weekday from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Where our food comes from

Our food comes mostly from retail and wholesale grocery outlets. We also pick up donations from individuals, church or school dinners or special events, and food service departments from local colleges and universities. Additional donations of food come from home gardens with considerable quantities of fresh vegetables.

Our meals

The types of meals served vary according to supply. Two times a week, we serve a full, hot dinner. This is always followed up with sandwiches and soup if the main course runs out.

On alternate days, soup and sandwiches are served, along with dessert and a beverage of choice. Fresh fruit and salads are served when available.

Our dedicated team

We have 3 fulltime employees and 50 volunteers who prepare food, serve visitors, and maintain the facility.

A van driver makes rounds with the Blue Door van starting at 7AM to pick up donations from local retail and wholesale grocers.

Food donations are sorted everyday, and anything that is not needed at the Soup Kitchen is picked up for distribution by one of several local Food Banks.
